My Experience

Alongside my counselling practice, I have been a Children’s Services Manager, where I lead the development and delivery of therapeutic services for young people aged 10–25 and Families.

This role has involved:

  • Designing and delivering therapy services across multiple settings
  • Supporting young people and families with complex needs, including trauma and care experience
  • Working closely with families, schools, and professionals
  • Leading and supporting teams to provide high-quality care

I also worked as a Team Manager within a specialist service for children and young people with learning disabilities and autism, where I supported both young people and the staff who care for them.

My background includes direct work as a residential support worker, giving me hands-on experience supporting individuals with a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.

How I Work

I use a person-centred approach, which means our work together is led by you. I aim to provide a space that is:

  • Safe and confidential
  • Non-judgmental
  • Supportive and understanding

I also draw on skills such as:

  • Emotional regulation
  • Mindfulness
  • Distress tolerance
  • Interpersonal effectiveness

This allows us not only to explore your experiences, but also to build practical tools to help you cope and move forward.

A Bit More About Me

I believe that everyone deserves a space where they can speak openly and be accepted as they are. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I aim to make that process as comfortable and supportive as possible.
